ICPAC, BDMS to Provide First Version of Environmental Monitoring Services

Technical Assistance mission mandated by AMESD Programme Coordinator based in the headquarters of Addis Ababa - Ethiopia was carried out from 13 to 20 March 2011. AMESD Steering Committee discusses development of operational Earth Observation-based services

The 5th meeting of the Program Steering Committee (PSC 5) of the African Monitoring of Environment for Sustainable Program (AMESD) program took place in Addis Ababa from 21st to 24th February 2011.

The Committee appointed Mrs. Gina Bonne from the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC), Mauritius, as Chairperson and Dr. Debalkew Berhe from the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) as Vice-Chairperson of the AMESD Program Steering Committee.
